This city with its access, on the one hand, to the excellent raw materials and local wool, and on the hand, to a big team of skilled weavers and experienced masters in wool-dying and tasteful pattern designers, offers the very unique features of Kerman carpets.

Thus at the beginning of the 16th Century, Kerman carpets achieved a very high degree of international fame and reliability. Today, many fine examples of such priceless jewels are shown in the fine arts museums and private collections around the world.

It is not an exaggeration to say that – especially in the last 500 years – Kerman carpets are relevant in our culture and even national identity.
