About Bakhtiar Rugs

Bakhtiyar tribe with a rich and proud history, whose racial origin is from the Lor Bakhtiari tribes are the oldest noble people of Iran. Bakhtiari rug is made by nomadic people who live a nomadic life in the Zagorsk mountains hillside.
Almost every piece of Bakhtiari nomadic rug woven is made out of the Bakhtiari nomads’ products. All the patterns and designs are completely naïve and instinct oriented and they haven’t used any prepared map in making them. This is an unspeakable example of art that can be seen in nobles’ houses, royal palaces, and famous international museums.
