Khorasan is one of the centers of carpet weaving in Iran, in which this art has gained special importance.
Khorasan’s Carpets, like its long history, has ancient and lasting antiquity and has seen one of the most flourishing periods of its history during the Timurid dynasty (about 1,500 years ago). Later on, during the Safavid period (16th century), some of the most exquisite pieces were created, some examples of which are housed at museums and in private collections.
