About Malayer Rugs

The city of Malayer, which literally means ‘The House of Arians,’ is located between Ark and Hamedan and is a relic of the Zoroastrian period. It is considered to be one of the rich agricultural centers of Iran, and the reflection of the desire to reach the Garden of Eden and the ideal goal that is the basis of Iranian philosophy and thought can be seen in the artistic/historical art of this area. There is no doubt that this region is one of the centers of carpet weaving art from the time of Elamite civilization, with a 3000-year history.

The delicacy of the imagination of the designers and the skill of the weavers, which is rooted in Iranian philosophy, spirituality, and thought has resulted in the creation of such beautiful and meaningful carpets that their position as a masterpiece in history is immortal.
